Criminals smashed the windows of a number of cars in Kettering last night (Wednesday).

At least four cars parked on Headlands, Kettering, were damaged last night.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said between 9pm last night and 6am this morning, a grey Skoda Octavia parked on Headlands, Kettering, was damaged.

Someone tried to gain access to the locked and secure car and smashed the windows, but they failed to gain entry.

At 5.45am this morning (Thursday) a jogger reported that three taxis parked on the street had smashed windows. The owners have not reported this.

A spokesman for Northants Police said: "We'd encourage anyone who has been the victim of this to call us."

The police are also appealing for anyone with information about who might have committed these offences to call on 101.
