Crews from Corby, Kettering, Desborough and Daventry tackled the blaze which involved the roof of the units.

Four hose reel jets and ladders were deployed before crews were sent into the building to extinguish the fire.

A Corby Fire Station spokesman said: "Crews worked hard to protect the surrounding properties and stop the fire spreading.

"The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and the fire investigation will continue into most of today."

The fire left Gainsborough Road closed in both directions between Blake Road and Gainsborough Court.
