Corby robbers threaten man with knife

A man was threatened with a knife as he walked through a wooded area in Corby.

Police have launched an investigation after the attempted robbery yesterday (Wednesday) between 4.30pm and 4.40pm.

The victim was walking in the wooded area in Cottingham Road, towards the boating lake, when he was approached by two other men.

They threatened him with a knife and demanded cash and his mobile phone but the man managed to run off.

A police spokesman said: "The first offender is described as a white man, about 6ft, of large build, with an English accent, wearing a black Nike tracksuit and a dark coloured scarf.

"The second offender is described as a white man, about 5ft 10in, with an English accent, wearing a black tracksuit and a dark coloured scarf."
