A Corby resident spotted an intruder when a gloved hand reached through his blinds.

Police officers are appealing for witnesses to the burglary which happened in Stalbridge Walk, Corby, at about 2.35am on Tuesday, September 22.

The occupant was sitting in a room when he saw a hand in blue gloves move the blinds and reach in.

The man challenged the offender, who ran off in the direction of Chesil Walk.

Police described the offender as a white male, 5ft 8in tall, and slim. He had a back pack and was wearing a top with the hood pulled tightly over his head. He was wearing blue ski-type gloves.

Northamptonshire Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have any CCTV footage of anyone acting suspiciously in the area during the early hours of Tuesday morning.
