A Corby man who threatened to set fire to a woman's house in the town is wanted by the courts after failing to turn up for his latest hearing.

Anthony Levenie, 27, of Ashley Avenue had indicated a guilty plea to the charge of threatening to burn down the house on May 24, contrary to the Criminal Damage Act.

He last appeared before Northampton Magistrates' Court on July 6 and JPs ordered a pre-sentence report to be compiled by the probation service to help them determine the correct sentence.

But on August 5, he failed to turn up for his sentencing hearing and magistrates issued a no-bail warrant for his arrest.

Anyone in Corby who knows the whereabouts of Levenie is asked not to approach him but to call police on 101.
