A Corby man was today (Friday) warned he is "very much at risk" of being jailed after admitting sexual assault by touching.

Connor McCann, 26, was due to be sentenced at Northampton Crown Court over the incident in Corby in October 2018.

In a brief hearing the court heard McCann, of The Octagon, had also breached a suspended sentence.

No further details about the nature of the sexual assault were heard at today's hearing.

The case was put back until March 13 so a pre-sentence report could be prepared. McCann was granted bail by judge Michael Fowler.

But he was warned: "You are very much at risk of receiving a custodial sentence."
