Corby man walks free from court after being found NOT GUILTY of murder

A Corby man has been found not guilty of the murder and manslaughter of a local father.

Ian Little was stabbed at a run-down house in Landseer Court, Corby, on March 3 following a row.

Initially, Mr Stewart had been charged with GBH and possession of a bladed article.

But that charge was upgraded to murder when Mr Little, who had been clinging to life in University Hospital, Coventry, died of multiple organ failure 19 days after he was stabbed.

Mr Stewart, 33, of Greig Walk, Corby , has been standing trial at Northampton Crown Court since last week.

But today (Thursday, August 6), Mr Little’s devastated family looked on as Mr Stewart was first found unanimously not guilty of a charge of murder, and then not guilty of a charge of manslaughter.

No evidence was offered by the crown for an offence of possession of an offensive weapon.

He was told by Her Honour Judge Justine Lucking that he would be released today.

Mr Little was a Glasgow Rangers fan and had young children.
