Zelos had pleaded not guilty on April 1 but changed his plea on April 30 and was sentenced today (Tuesday) at Northampton Crown Court and appeared by video link.

On February 26, Zelos was seen in Northbrook kicking front doors and seemed to be drunk. He was spotted by a resident who asked him to leave but then became aggressive.

He did eventually go into an address but came out again.

Mr Joey Kwong, prosecuting, said: "Mr Zelos then pulled a large knife and raised it above his head."

A woman who had been walking down the road at the time was only around three metres away from Zelos.

Mr Kwong said: "Zelos ran toward her and said 'do you want stabbed?'

"She, in fear, went back into her own house."

The woman's husband told Zelos to put the knife down and he put it in a wheelie bin. The police soon arrived and arrested him and retrieved the knife.

In interview, Zelos admitted he had been drinking that evening.

Mitigating, Zelos' representative, Mr Liam Muir, said he had mental health issues. Judge Crane accepted he has alcohol issues, ADHD and Asperger's Syndrome and is currently being treated for depression.

Zelos, who has previous convictions relating to possession of bladed weapons, was sentenced to nine months in prison and 12 months on licence.
