Walker, of Constable Road, pleaded guilty to having a bladed article in a public place and failing to surrender after a no-show when he was due to appear at court in October.

Last week at Northampton Magistrates’ Court he was jailed for a total of 12 months.

Walker was ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a surcharge to fund victim services of £187.

Magistrates also made an order depriving him of his rights to the knife.
