Corby man denies sex assault

He will face a trial at a later date

A man charged over a sex attack in Corby has pleaded not guilty.

Craig Rooney, 36, of Holmfirth Walk in the town, has been charged with sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s.

It is in relation to an incident in Ribblesdale Avenue between 3.30am and 4am on Sunday, January 19.

Appearing over video link at Northampton Crown Court last week, Rooney pleaded not guilty.

The case was adjourned for a trial with a date yet to be fixed.
