Police have tonight charged a man with a serious stabbing which has left a local man in a critical condition in hospital.

Roddi Stewart, 33, from Greig Walk, Corby, is due to appear before Northampton Magistrates Court tomorrow (Friday, March 6) in connection with a stabbing.

He is charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a bladed article following an incident in Landseer Court at about 9pm on Tuesday, March 3, when police and paramedics were called to an address following reports that a 31-year-old man had been stabbed.

The man was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Officers were today conducting searches in Landseer Court as part of their enquiries.
