Corby man charged with grievous bodily harm
He’ll appear before the court today
A Corby man will make his first court appearance today after an attack on a woman in the town on Monday (June 1).
Robert Rup, 52, of Constable Road on the Hazel Leys estate is charged with a section 18 grievous bodily harm offence. He is accused of assaulting a woman with intent to do her serious injury which carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
He is being held in custody and is due before magistrates in Northampton this morning (Thursday, June 3).
