Corby man charged over armed robbery

A Corby man has been remanded in custody after being charged with robbery.

Peter Tierney, 39, was charged yesterday (January 4) over an armed robbery in Cottingham Road on December 13.

During the incident two Playstations and a mobile phone were stolen from a male victim.

Tierney, of Finland Way, appeared before magistrates in Northampton today and was remanded in custody.

He will next appear at Northampton Crown Court on January 20.
