Corby man charged after police officer spat at

A Corby man has been charged after a police officer was spat at as she made an arrest.

David Shaun Carr, 28, will face magistrates after the incident in Elizabeth Street at about 3am on May 7.

The female response officer was arresting a man for another offence when she was spat at in the eye.

Carr, of Buckfast Square, has been charged with assaulting an emergency service worker.

He has also been charged with common assault after a member of security staff was assaulted in Elizabeth Street at about 2.30am on May 7.

He will appear at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on June 25.
