Police issued two appeals for information leading to his arrest in the week leading up to Christmas, and on Christmas Eve, Crimestoppers offered a £1,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.

Tierney was located last night (Saturday, January 2) by Northants Road Policing Team who called for their armed response colleagues to arrest the suspect.

He was taken into custody and is still being questioned by officers.

- Another man, Tommy Devenney, 31, of St Peter's Way, Corby, has been charged with robbery in connection with the same incident and appeared at Northampton Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, December 22. No plea was entered. His case has been transferred to Northampton Crown Court where it will be heard in the new year.
