Stewart, of Herford Close, has also been charged with committing an act with intent to pervert the course of justice.

He stands accused of producing a false divorce certificate in August last year.

In a brief hearing the Corby man, who was supported by family in the public gallery, spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.

Magistrates granted him unconditional bail until his next appearance at Northampton Crown Court on April 17.
