An off-duty police dog handler got more than he bargained for when he came across this fly-tipped rubbish down a country lane.

Inside the black bags were the contents of an abandoned cannabis factory.

The officer was exercising their police dog when they found the haul in Kirby Lane, which runs from behind Rockingham Motor Speedway to Deene.

There were three huge piles of the rubbish dumped at the rural spot.

Officers will now check the piles to see if there are any clues as to who dumped them.

Flytipping incidents across the whole country have surged as councils have closed tips and suspended some garden waste collections.
