Car crashes into Rothwell house

Police were called to a street in Rothwell this afternoon (Monday) after a car crashed into the house.

Officers were seen in Tresham Street after the incident involving a Renault Tango at about 1.50pm.

Nobody suffered major injuries in the crash near Rothwell Fire Station, police said.

Pictures from the scene show the Renault facing sideways behind parked cars, having hit the front of the house.

The Renault was left with damage to its front bumper.

A spokesman added that the house was left with minor damage.
