Car and wallets containing personal documents stolen after burglary in Northampton

The offenders made off in the stolen car, which was later found by officers.

Police are looking for witnesses after a burglary took place in Chaucer Street, Northampton between 10.30pm on December 23 and 9.30am on December 25.

The offender(s) got into the property through an unlocked front door and stole two wallets - one black and one blue - containing personal documents, credit cards and a bank card.

A set of car keys to the occupant’s grey Audi A6 was also stolen and the burglar(s) drove off in the vehicle.

The car was later found by officers parked in Bourverie Walk, Northampton.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: “Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in either Chaucer Street or Bourverie Road between the stated times.”
