Police seized drugs and an offensive weapon from a parked car in Corby last night (March 28) after they saw two men running away from it.

This happened in Harlech at around 7.15pm when police community support officers were on mobile patrol. After seeing two men running away from the white Vauxhall Corsa, they performed a stop search which revealed the vehicle to contain cannabis and an offensive weapon - a metal pole.

Officers also found that the car was not taxed so they recovered that too.

The suspects seen running away from the abandoned vehicle have not yet been found.
