Burglars target Earls Barton home

Burglars stole cash from a house in Earls Barton after forcing a rear door.

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after the incident in Station Road, which took place between 5pm on January 3 and 2.40pm the following day.

A spokesman said they "made an untidy search" once inside before taking the money.

The spokesman said: "Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area between the stated times.

"Anyone with information is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting reference number 21000005543. Or alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
