Police are appealing for witnesses after burglars struck again in Wellingborough.

Details of this latest break-in come just 24 hours after Northants Police issued a warning about burglaries in the county, including in Wellingborough's Somerford Road and Whitworth Road.

Speaking about the latest incident in The Pyghtle, a spokesman for the force said: "Between 4.15am and 4.30am on Friday, January 22, the occupant was woken by the sound of someone at the front door, and has discovered the property had been broken into.

"Nothing is believed to have been stolen.

"Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area."

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting reference number 21000049217 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
