Burglars steal wedding ring after ransacking East Northants house

A family returned home from a trip to find burglars had stolen expensive jewellery, including a wedding ring.

Police are appealing for information after the incident in Carlow Road in Ringstead last week.

At some point between midday on September 1 and 1.15pm on September 5 criminals forced their way into the family house through the back door.

They then ransacked the house, stealing numerous items of jewellery.

They included a fine gold chain which was about 20in in length, a gold wedding ring with some engraving, and oval Cameo brooch, a pearl/diamond ring and matching earrings and a diamond and sapphire ring.

They also took passports, credit cards and car keys for and Audi A4 and Audi A3.

No descriptions of suspects were available from police.
