Burglars steal cash from Corby home

Burglars stole cash after searching almost every room in a house in Corby.

Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after the incident in Chesil Walk last week.

It took place between 8.30pm on Tuesday (August 11) and 12.55pm the following day when those behind the burglary gained access through the rear of the property.

Once inside they searched most rooms and stole 'a quantity' of money.

A police spokesman said: "Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area of Chesil Walk, between the stated times.

"Anyone who may have any information regarding this incident is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting reference number 20000418527. Or alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
