Burglars fled empty-handed after breaking into a home in Kettering last weekend.

The incident took place between 6.30pm and 7pm on October 17 in Rothwell Road, when two offenders forced open the garage door to gain access to the rear of the property.

Once inside they searched the property but nothing is believed to have been stolen at this stage.

A police spokesman said: "Rothwell Road is a busy route for people visiting Kettering General Hospital, and officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area.

"Anyone who may have any information regarding this incident is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting reference number 20000548617.
