Burglar smashes windows in attempt to get into Rothwell home

Police are appealing for information.

A burglar smashed two windows of a home in Rothwell in a bid to break in, police say.

Officers are appealing for information after the attempted burglary in Wales Street, which took place between 9pm on March 12 and 10.05am on March 13.

Today a force spokesman said the offender tried the door handle and smashed two windows, but no entry was gained.

The spokesman said: "Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area between the stated times.

"Anyone who may have any information regarding this incident is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting reference number 21000142128. Or alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
