Burglar escapes with 27 watches from Corby house

Police are appealing for witnesses after a stash of jewellery including 27 watches was stolen from a house in Thetford Close, Corby.

The incident took place between 10.45am and 11.20am yesterday (Monday, December 7) when the offender broke the glass in the patio doors to gain access to the address and once inside stole a quantity of jewellery, including 27 watches.

A spokesman for Northants Police said: "It is believed the offender has left the address at about 11.20am and crossed Copenhagen Road and through an alley which leads to Flensburg Close, and past a male wearing a blue jacket with red shoulder patches and walking a small dog.

"Officers are appealing for this man to come forward, or anyone else who may have seen the offender, who was wearing a blue jacket, blue bottoms, black hat and a dark coloured face covering, in this area between the stated times."
