Burglar disturbed by resident of East Northants home

An East Northants resident had a shock on Sunday, August 23, when they returned home to find a man had broken into their house.

The incident happened between 12.50pm and 1.10pm in Barnwell Road, Thurning.

The occupants returned home and disturbed someone burgling their property. The offender ran off and was challenged by a member of the public from a neighbouring farm.

Police described the burglar as white with dark hair and wearing dark bottoms and a lighter coloured T-shirt.

Northamptonshire Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have CCTV or dash cam footage of anyone acting suspiciously in the area of Main Street and Barnwell Road between the stated times.
