A burglar caused £300 worth of damage to the RSCPA charity shop in Kettering when they broke in on Wednesday night.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said the Rockingham Road shop was burgled between 4.30pm on Wednesday, March 18 and 6.45am on Friday, March 20.

The RSPCA believe the burglary happened on Wednesday night.

A member of staff from the RSPCA shop said the burglar had damaged the doors and a cabinet, at an estimated cost of £300.

He also got away with a small amount of change.

The member of staff said the intruder was caught on CCTV and used a crowbar to gain access through the backdoor.
