Burglar admits stealing thousands from Rushden bookies

A woman has been warned she could be jailed after she admitted burgling a bookies in Rushden.

Kerry McAllister, 39, stole a total of £6,500 in the incident at BG Bet in High Street on December 16, 2018.

Today (Friday) at Northampton Crown Court McAllister, formerly of Stamford, admitted burglary.

She will have to wait until 2021 to find out her fate after the case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be completed.

But Recorder Graham Huston warned her: "It's a serious matter which may result in a custodial sentence."

McAllister was bailed ahead of her sentencing which will take place in January.
