Boys arrested over Pytchley Court shops GBH are released on bail

The two boys arrested on suspicion of GBH following an assault in Corby have been released on bail following advice from the CPS.

The incident happened in Pytchley Court on Tuesday, May 5, between 4pm and 5pm, when two boys filmed themselves assaulting a woman in the area. The footage was widely shared on social media, with thousands of disgusted local people commenting.

Although the incident wasn’t reported to police, officers were made aware of the footage a short time later, and an investigation was quickly launched.

Detective Sergeant Kieron Pearl, said: “We know the people of Corby will be keen to be kept updated on this case and I would like to assure them that we are continuing to investigate it in order to get the right outcome for this woman.

“I would also like to take the opportunity to again remind people not to use social media to share footage of the incident or names of the people suspected to be involved as this may jeopardise any future criminal proceedings.”
