Boy, 13, arrested on suspicion of Rushden murder released without charge

A 13-year-old boy who was arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of a 25-year-old woman in Rushden on Saturday has been released.

Northamptonshire Police say the boy was released last night (Sunday) with no further action.

A 27-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the 25-year-old's death on Saturday, December 7, at around 8.30pm.

Police taped off the area to investigate for most of the day yesterday (Sunday).

Police are continuing to investigate the incident which took place in Wellingborough Road, Rushden, near St. George's Way.

The 25-year-old woman died at the scene after being stabbed despite the best efforts of paramedics.

The surrounding area was taped off for most of yesterday (Sunday) while police investigated, but has since reopened.Police are continuing to appeal for information.
