Argument with gang ends with man having 'substance' thrown in his face outside his Northampton home

A verbal altercation outside a man's home in Northampton ended with him having an unknown liquid thrown in his face, police have said.

The attack happened at around 5.35pm on Thursday, April 15 when a man in Stone Hill Court challenged a young white man who appeared in his front garden claiming that he was being chased.

A group of three young black men then arrived outside the property and, after an argument, the homeowner had liquid thrown in his face. The group then left - one of the young men was riding an electric scooter.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: "Tests on the substance the man was sprayed with were inconclusive. He attended hospital but is not believed to have suffered any lasting injury."
