Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempted burglary in Chelveston Drive, Corby.

Between 11pm and 11.20pm on Sunday, January 3, the occupants heard someone attempt to open the rear door of the residential property twice.

The offender is described as male, between 5ft 11in and 6ft, of a slim to medium build and wore a black or dark coloured coat and a hood/black hat.

A spokesman for Northants Police said: "Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the stated time."

Anyone with information about the attempted burglary is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting reference number 21000004254 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
