Northamptonshire Police are appealing for witnesses or the owner of an Alsatian to come forward after the large dog attacked another dog in Glendon, near Kettering.

The incident happened sometime between 7am and 8.30am on Monday, June 15 in a green area off Hipwell Road behind the factories.

A black Alsatian ran up to the man's dog and attacked it. The Alsatian was off its lead and out of its owner's control.

The man's dog suffered minor injuries and the owner feared for his own safety.

The Alsatian is believed to go by the name of George and was with a small elderly white woman with grey hair.

Any witnesses or the owner of the Alsatian can call Northamptonshire Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
