Three men in balaclavas smashed their way into a property via the front door and stole an iPhone, cash and prescription drugs.

The force helicopter was sent up to find the suspects and police dogs searched a wide area over the subsequent two hours.

Police dog Nala eventually tracked-down two suspects and weapons to thick undergrowth.

Officers arrested two men aged 23 and 37 on suspicion of aggravated burglary in connection with the incident. They remain in police custody.

A Northants Police spokeswoman said: "They tried to play hide and seek with PD Nala – there was only going to be one winner."
