Accused denies Desborough stabbing

A man accused of a stabbing in Desborough has pleaded not guilty to wounding with intent.

Matthew Lee, 27, appeared at Northampton Crown Court this afternoon (Wednesday) over videolink from HMP Lincoln, where he is being held on remand.

Lee, of Nunnery Avenue in Rothwell, has been charged after the incident in the area of Desborough's Harrington Road and Addison Road on November 6.

The victim, aged 40, was stabbed in the arm just after 11am and was rushed to hospital.

In a brief hearing today Lee pleaded not guilty and was told a trial may take place in April next year.
