Wellingborough attempted murder accused pleads not guilty
A 54-year-old from Wellingborough is to stand trial charged with attempted murder.
Wearing a grey tracksuit top, John Cansfield appeared before His Honour Judge David Herbert KC this morning (Monday, November 10) to face one charge of attempted murder alleged to have happened on September 29.

Cansfield, of Melton Road, Wellingborough, pleaded not guilty to the charge, which involves a local woman in her 40s.
He was warned by Judge Herbert to ensure he attends a case management hearing in February and he nodded and said he would.
A trial will take place in March.
Cansfield is being held in custody ahead of his next hearing.
