Rushden paedophile who ‘knew what he was doing’ went back onto Facebook after serving a five year jail term

A pervert who was banned from using Facebook without first telling his offender manager has been using accounts in three different names.

Raymond Collison, formerly of Rushden but now of Ford Street, Kettering, has been jailed again after he was caught in breach of his sexual harm prevention order.

Back in 2018, Collison was handed a five year jail term after he was caught trying to meet a child he had groomed online.

At the time Detective Constable Carol Strike said he had ‘put children in danger’ adding: ““Collison knew exactly what he was doing and I welcome the sentence he has received.”

He was told he would spend the rest of his life on the sex offenders’ register and was given an indefinite sexual harm prevention order that strictly curtailed his use of the internet and social media.

The 50-year-old admitted four breaches of his SHPO when he appeared before Northampton Magistrates’ Court in February this year.

Collison pleaded guilty to having access to three Facebook accounts in the names of Rose Collison, Elizabeth Collison and Raymond Philip John Collison without informing his offender manager. He also admitted having an internet-capable decide that he had not declared.

Magistrates gave him nine months in prison and ordered him to pay a £187 court surcharge.
