He pleaded guilty to being in charge of a dog that was dangerously out of control.

His Honour Judge William Harbage ordered that the dog be destroyed.

Difolco, of Bamburg Close, who had an interpreter for deaf people in court with him, was given 18 months in prison suspended for 16 months. He will have to undertake 10 rehabilitation activity days

He was disqualified from keeping dogs for five years and ordered to pay the female victim £1,518.90 in compensation. He was also told to pay £1,000 in costs, which will go towards kenneling fees, as well as a £187 surcharge.

Difolco was previously charged in relation to another dog, a bull mastiff, that allegedly attacked a woman in Carltonwood Close in 2022. But those proceedings were discontinued after he denied the charge.
