They include murderers given life sentences three days before Christmas as well as killer drivers, rapists, armed robbers, thieves, drug dealers and child sex offenders…

21. Junior Emmanuel Uwadia
The 25-year-old murderer was sentenced to life with a minimum term of 23 years in June for fatally stabbing his former friend twice following a trivial disagreement about food which escalated. Uwadia, of Northfield Way, Northampton, was found guilty of killing Clinton Obeng Oppong Antwi just yards from the 23-year-old victim’s home in December 2024. A jury took nearly seven hours to deliver a verdict after a three-week trial after Uwadia maintained he acted in self-defence – which the jury did not accept. Photo: Northamptonshire Police

22. Karl Williams, Jordan McInnes
Williams, of Fotheringhay Road, Corby, was a class-A drug dealer who lived a lavish lifestyle making up to £15,000 a month selling cocaine in the town. We reported in June that the 29-year-old spent thousands renting a Lamborghini Huracan Spyder, boasting about eating in expensive London restaurants and burying designer clothes and expensive watches — all while using his accomplice and childhood pal Macinnes to carry out the dealing. Williams was sentenced to 14 years and 32-year-old Macinnes, of Stephenson Way, to four years. Photo: Northamptonshire Police

23. Keiron Soares
Soares, 33, was sentenced to ten years after a jury convicted him of assaulting a baby in Wellingborough. We reported in February how medics had found the infant had bleeds on the brain which were identified as a non-accidental injury. Photo: Northamptonshire Police

24. Lewis Morgan-Wright
Former hospital worker Morgan-Wright was sentenced to 20 years for sexually repeatedly raping a girl of infant-school age and sexually abusing another after Her Honour Judge Rebecca Crane praised a jury for seeing through his ‘malicious and outrageous’ lies. We reported in April how the 23-year-old from Kettering was found guilty of 12 offences — including making indecent photographs — after a 10-day trial. Photo: Northamptonshire Police
