2. Inam Khan
The 37-year-old from Wellingborough was sentenced following a series of serious sexual offences against children in Sussex and Suffolk — including raping a 14-year-old girl and kidnapping and attempting to rape a 12-year-old. Khan, of Troon Crescent, spent time in online chat rooms and on Snapchat, targeting young children while lying about his own age to build and manipulate trust. He was convicted after a nine-day trial at Hove Crown Court and jailed for a total of 19 years in December. Photo: Sussex Police
3. Junior Fombanu
Fombanu was sentenced to five years after a court heard he subjected an 18-year-old woman to a horrendous sexual assault after a night out. We reported in November that the 27-year-old, of Thwaite Close, Corby, pleaded guilty but a jury took less than two hours to convict him of assault by penetration. Photo: Northamptonshire Police
4. Keiton Underwood, Ace Hill
The pair were sentenced to life at Northampton Crown Court three days before Christmas for the murder of Ryan Burton in Spring Rise Park on Kettering’s Highfield Estate shortly in January 2025. Underwood, 20, of Bridge Street, Desborough, and 19-year-old Hill, of Minden Close, Corby, changed their pleas and admitted murdering 34-year-old Burton during an eight-week trial last month.
