Corby man denies stalking offences
A 39-year-old man from Corby has denied three stalking-related offences.
Jamie Devenney, formerly of Cottingham Road, Corby, and now of HMP Peterborough, appeared before Northampton Crown Court this morning to plead not guilty to three domestic-related charges.
Devenney denied putting a female victim in fear of violence by stalking her during a four-day period in September this year, which included making threats to damage the woman’s home and made repeated telephone calls to her.
He also pleaded not guilty to damaging her property by jumping on her windscreen on September 19, and damaging a window on September 25.
No bail application was made, and Devenney, who appeared via videolink from prison, was remanded back into custody. A three-day trial date was set for March next year.
