Corby man admits attempting sexual communication with 'underage girl'
A judge has warned a Corby man that he could be jailed after he pleaded guilty to sexual chat with a person he believed to be a teenage girl.
Connor Gillham, 29, was at Northampton Crown Court today (Thursday, January 15) to admit one count of attempting sexual communication with a child.
Gillham, of Chelveston Drive, Corby, was before His Honour Judge Herbert KC this afternoon to admit the charge which involved a decoy pretending to be an underage girl. Gillham engaged in disgusting sexual chat with her in March 2024.
He denied two counts of possession of indecent images and the prosecutor said that the crown was content to let those charges lie on file.

Judge Herbert warned Gillham that he ‘shouldn’t rule anything out’ with regard to sentencing, as his offending crossed the custody threshold.
He adjourned sentencing for reports and Gillham will be sentenced at the same court on February 19.
