Abusive man threatened former partner with blade in Burton Latimer home
A judge has sent a violent man to prison after he twice beat a woman in Burton Latimer.
Scott Brown, of Speight Crescent, Barton Seagrave, is now behind bars after he admitted two assaults on his victim.
The 41-year-old was at Northampton Crown Court for sentence after he had pleaded guilty to four offences against the same woman in her house in Burton Latimer.
The court heard how Brown had threatened the woman with a blade during an incident on March 2 this year. He also assaulted her, causing her actual bodily harm.

Then on July 20 this year he again assaulted her at her home, smashing her mobile phone.
He was before Her Honour Judge Rebecca Crane for sentence last month and was given 19 months in prison. He will serve half before being released on licence. A five-year restraining order was put in place which bans him from contacting his victim. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £187 on his release.
