Cosmetics big-hitter set to open superstore in Corby

A big high street chain is set to open its doors on a Corby retail park.

Superdrug is opening a huge shop in the former Brantano shop at Phoenix Parkway - right next door to its biggest rival Boots.

The beauty and cosmetics store is already advertising for roles at the shop including a manager post and sales advisors, team leaders and a nail technician, suggesting the new superstore may have one of Superdrug’s popular nail bars inside.

Work has started to fit out the shop, which has been unoccupied since Brantano went out of business early last year.

It means the Peel Centre will now have no empty units.

It is not yet known when the new store will open but the launch date is expected to be before Christmas.

The firm has applied for planning permission to install signage at the store.
