A site in Corby has been evacuated and nearby roads have been closed after a gas leak this afternoon.

Corby fire crews were called to Sallow Road on the Weldon North industrial estate with crews in attendance at about 3.25pm.

The un-named site has been evacuated with fire crews working with other services to manage the incident.

A Northants Fire spokesman said: "A number of roads near the scene are currently closed and we would advise motorists to avoid the area if possible."
