Terry Wilson, who lives in Miller Close, has raised concerns about illegal and anti-social activity.

She says an address has been used for ‘constant’ drug deals over the past 14 months with people coming and going at all hours.

She said: “It’s been a complete nightmare, I’ve had enough.

“We’re all just absolutely fed up.”

Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant Darron Bishop said officers have visited the address a number of times in recent months as part of Operation Viper, the force’s operation to tackle serious and organised crime.

Ms Wilson raised concerns over what she perceived as a ‘lack of action’ from the authorities.

She said: “Everybody in the close is calling the police about it but they don’t come out and nothing ever gets done.

“They just say they’re looking into it.”

Sgt Bishop said this ‘couldn’t be further from the truth’.

He said: “I completely understand how frustrating it is for people to report intelligence to us and on the surface it seems as if nothing has been done.

“This couldn’t be further from the truth as everything reported to us is analysed by our officers in the Force Intelligence Bureau who use the information to create a wider intelligence picture, giving us the best opportunity for enforcement later down the line.

“I would encourage anyone with concerns about their local area to report it to us either by calling 101 or by calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
