Commemorative stone for Stanwick war dead

A commemorative stone has been laid in Stanwick to remember the village's war dead.

The stone has a plaque bearing the words ‘In memory of those from Stanwick who did not come home from the two World Wars’ and is set in a flower garden in the centre of the village.

It was paid for by money donated from the Stanwick Races group and planted by the SPPARK pocket park group and The Stanwick Environment Group (STEP), and was unveiled by local RBL head David Thoday, assisted by Chris Brooks.
