Can you help the Poppy Appeal in Kettering?

The Royal British Legion has made a desperate appeal for volunteers in Kettering as Armistice Day approaches.

The legion has opened a pop-up stand at The Yards and Northamptonshire fundraiser Lewis Cooper has asked anyone who can help to contact them.

He said: “We are really desperate.

“We need people to help with supermarket collections, this is a massive week for us in our big push.

“We would love as many people to come forward as possible.

“There have been quite a few people come forward already but we’re still short.”

Mr Cooper says they will be at The Yards until November 13, and potentially another week after that.
